Rachel Kirkland – The Modern Shaman

Ever since I can remember, I’ve had premonitions. I would see something in my mind’s-eye (much like remembering something) and then it would happen a few minutes later exactly as I had seen it. When I was a child I just assumed this happened to everyone. I would tell those around me, “Hey! I just dreamed that in my head!” And, because I was so young, most adults didn’t think much of it.

I kept my premonitions to myself mostly and they were typically every day events I would see — my mother washing the dishes, my friends swinging on the swing set. It wasn’t until the premonitions showed me something painful was about to happen that I would speak-up and try to warn the people involved.

I remember when I was 9 years old, for example, my younger brother and I were playing on the playground at school. I had a premonition that he would fall off the monkey bars and break his arm. I yelled at him to get off the monkey bars and when he didn’t listen I ran and told my mother to try and get him to stop. She thought my concern was sweet, but still let him play. A moment later he fell and of course, broke his arm.

It wasn’t until I was 14 years old and my older brother got into a car accident that I realized I could control the visions. This time it wasn’t a premonition. It was late at night and we got a frantic phone call from my older brother explaining he had been in a car accident and hit a pedestrian. My parents were hysterical and drove to get him. I was given the instructions to stay home and watch my younger brother while they took care of things. After my parents left I closed my eyes and tried to see what was going on. I’m not sure how I knew I could do this — project myself somewhere else, or see something I wanted to see — but I did. I just closed my eyes and was able to SEE it. I saw the pedestrian my brother ran into, a teenage girl, and that she was okay — just a broken leg and arm on the right side of her body where she had come in contact with the car. I recognized her and knew her name because she went to high school with us, and suddenly I felt a deep peace about everything. I had no idea what I was doing in the psychic community was called remote viewing, astral travel, clairvoyance and clairaudience; somehow deep inside I just knew what to do and did it.

I didn’t tell anyone I could do this, I just used my Seeing abilities for myself, mostly, for my own comfort at times of distress. However, when my parents and older brother came home that night I confirmed with my older brother that he had in fact hit the girl I had seen in my vision. He said, “Yes! That is her name. How did you know?” I didn’t know how to explain my psychic abilities so I just said, “I don’t know, I just kinda saw it and knew.”

After that, at age 14, I knew I could control the visions, direct them when I needed answers. It was a small change, but a significant one in the way I viewed my spiritual gift. I always had a strong intuition and used that throughout my life, but when something was really bothering me, or when I really wanted to help someone else, I would close my eyes, focus, and I could SEE and HEAR.

I always saw my psychic abilities as gifts from God and the older I grew, the more serious I became about using them. In a very organic and natural way, I followed my heart and became an “undercover missionary”, using my connection with Spirit to help prostitutes get safe housing and stable employment, find newly paroled inmates available jobs, guide drug addicts to a life of sobriety, mentor at-risk teenagers, and the list goes on.

Besides my ‘real world practical experience’, I also took courses on the psychic phenomenon to better understand my spiritual gifts.

I became well versed in meditation techniques, Angels, Spirit guides, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, clairgustant, claircognizant, astral travel, remote viewing, premonitions, parallel realities, the chakras, energy healing, ancient signs and symbols, shamanic practices, mystical practices, and such.

My extra-sensory perception (ESP) is very inclusive. Throughout my psychic work I have had the pleasure of serving as a medium, viewing parallel lives (multiple futures depending on the choices you make), channeling angelic and galactic messages, introducing people to their spirit guides, solving missing person cases, homicide, kidnappings, preparing for death and release of the physical body (helping souls pass to the other side), participating in global think tanks to try and solve world-wide issues, guide miraculous personal and physical healing for clients, and more.

Every person is unique and requires individual assessment so a session with me can look different for different people. Honestly, all that I do comes from the basic desire to Love people and be of Service on this planet. I believe the purpose for my gift is for the uplifting of the individual and by in large, the uplifting of the entire human race, one soul at a time!

In total devotion to Source and Humanity,
